From the vibrant and colourful fabrics of West Africa to the rhythmic beats of traditional music in East Africa, and the delicious flavours of the diverse cuisines found throughout the continent, there is so much to embrace and celebrate about our African culture.
I am super proud of my heritage, the resilience and strength maintained over several decades is applaudable. The creativity and talent that emerge from the streets of cities like Lagos, Nairobi and Johannesburg are inspiring and admirable.
As we celebrate our African identity, we are reminded of the importance of solidarity and unity across the continent. The rich tapestry of traditions, languages, and customs that make up the fabric of African society leaves us grateful.
