I guess travelling for me is slightly different. Thanks to my parents who made travelling a thing when I was younger, since Primary school. Every summer holiday was one to remember. And may I add that schooling abroad doesn’t count as a travel experience because it was school. Unlike my fellow UK students, I didn’t get to travel to the Schengen countries. PS: I would say I regret this.
But, after my graduation, I decided to maximise every travel opportunity that came my way and do everything I wanted, with no regrets.
This leads perfectly to June 2023, my first vacation as an ‘adult’; travelling with my siblings and no parents – for enjoyment!
Best believe I planned my/our itinerary months before the date. Every time I got stressed or overwhelmed, I would add an activity that best ‘tackled that stress’ in my mind, or so I thought, and it made it the best travel experience ever.
My summer vacation was everything I wanted! I visited iconic monuments like Georgia Aquarium, World of Coca-Cola, and Museum of Illusion, made new friends, had unimaginable experiences and more.
Before I dig in, I’ll share 3 travel/vacation tips.
- Identify the type of traveller you are – Indoors, pool parties/cookouts, chill vibes or exploring, outside, thrilling. This would greatly benefit you and help you get the best out of your vacation.
- Know the kind of people you are travelling with. Are they similar to your travel behaviour? If yes, great! If no, plan your itinerary with group tours because you might leave ‘your crew’ sleeping one day to explore and they meet you later in the day (or not at all). This way, you still get the most out of the trip/holiday.
- Never travel without wearing socks and comfortable footwear because you shouldn’t be putting your bare feet on the airport floors when you’re going through the security point and are mandated to take off your shoes. Take it from someone who took a total of 9 flights this holiday.
Back to it, you can already guess the category I belong to. Of course, the outside, outdoor explorer, which made my siblings refer to vacationing with me as an ‘excursion’ and term me ‘Endy the Explorer’.
My travel fashion is ‘Comfortable’ because I’m up, out and everywhere. So that is definitely for sure. Outside my itinerary, the days can take me anywhere, so I am always prepared.
My Vacation Looks and Places I Visited

Quick Summary
Asa Griggs Candler bought Coca-Cola shares and became the owner of the secret formula, trademark & rights. He needed a loan to buy the company and sold the company for $25million in 1919 to a group of investors led by banker Earnest Woodruff where it was used as collateral and locked away for 6 years (until the loan was paid off) at a guarantee bank, and since the return of the secret formular to Atlanta, it has never left Atlanta.
