Ah, let’s dive into the fun questions!
Absolutely! So, how has the japa wave affected your friendships?
Interviewee: Well, my friends and I have become experts at long-distance friendship. We’ve mastered the art of virtual hangouts and sending each other memes across different time zones. Japa couldn’t break our bond!

That’s awesome! Now, how did your childhood friendships affect the way you view friendships?
Childhood friendships taught me the importance of loyalty. They are my gees for real, creating mischief and unforgettable memories. Those friendships laid the foundation for my strong belief in lifelong connections.

Do you find it difficult to build friendships as an adult?
Oh, adulting can be tough, but building friendships is like discovering hidden treasures. It takes time and effort to find those who truly click with you. But once you do, it’s like finding a rare gem in a sea of acquaintances.

Everyone on social media marries their “best friend.” Is your partner really your best friend?
Absolutely! My partner is not just my best friend, but also my partner-in-crime, my confidante, and my go-to person for endless laughter. We’re like a dynamic duo, tackling life’s adventures together.

Friendships are important outside of relationships. How do you pick the people in your circle? Who is the support system that helps you navigate life’s challenges?
Well, like I use to say, I choose my friends rather than my friends choosing me. I have a very large circle of acquaintances and a small circle of friends

You spend most of your time at work. Do you have a work husband, wife, or bestie?
Lmao!! ….. Do I even need to answer this… biko let them no catch me oooo! Next!

How has technology helped your respective friendships?
Technology has been a game-changer for friendships. It keeps us connected no matter the distance. From video calls to group chats, technology brings us together and allows us to share our lives, even when physically apart. Almost every other day, if I am not talking business, I am on a call with a close one.

Life’s so unpredictable that sometimes we form the most unlikely of friendships. What are the crazy, random scenarios that birthed an amazing friendship?
Oh, I once accidentally bumped into someone at a concert, spilling their drink. Instead of getting mad, we burst into laughter, and that’s how our friendship started. Sometimes the most unexpected encounters lead to the most extraordinary friendships.

Do you believe female friendships are fragile? That women do not support each other?
Not at all! Female friendships are powerful. I have seen ladies lift each other up, celebrate each other’s successes, and provide a safe space for vulnerability. Women supporting women is a force to be reckoned with! My wife has shown this to me, more times than I can count.

Why do people find it difficult to accept that you can have a bestie of the opposite gender with no strings attached?
Lol, well na them know that one ooo, but for me, I have a lot of females friends. Once you have trust issues you will always have problem with people dealing with the opposite sex.

Why do men bond over everything, even the silliest things?
(laughs) Men have a special talent for turning the simplest/wildest of things into Tales from an Idan (legendary tales) as Adekunle, my colleague would say. It’s in our nature to find joy in camaraderie, whether it’s over sports, hobbies, or even the most mundane topics. That’s what makes their bond so unique…. We no too get wahala.

Bro code, Girl code – what are all these codes about? Do you believe in them?
Codes like these are unwritten rules that govern friendships; as a guy man, you suppose just know. They’re about loyalty, trust, and always having each other’s backs. While they may not be written down, they’re deeply ingrained in the values of friendship. I definitely believein them.

What’s your number one friendship rule?
Interviewee: Always be there for your friends, no matter what. It’s about showing up, listening, and supporting them through the ups and downs. True friendship is about being a constant source of love and understanding.
