2022 has been a year characterised by everything, the highs, the lows and the in-betweens. My high point was the opportunity to attend a career reshaping training which opened me up to better ways of achieving set goals.
The Lowest point in my life was when I had a mental breakdown early in the year; I felt stuck, like I was not where I was supposed to be in my career and personal life. A lot of my friends seemed to be way up there and doing much better in life than I was. The only thing that helped me when these feelings came up was prayers. Also, a friend of mine was able to sense the trauma I was experiencing at the time and was able to point out the areas she felt I was doing very well and spoke some sense into me. She made me understand that delay is not denial. I was able to find the light once again.
Another low point (there were many actually) was the flood that ravaged some parts of our country and by extension, the war in Ukraine.
But 2022 has taught me many things.
This year has taught me how to value every opportunity I get to better myself and the fact that life is a gift. It also taught me not to expect much from people, as people can only meet you as deeply as they’ve met themselves. Do not brush things under the rug because it can end up doing more harm than good. This year, I have learnt to appreciate today and to live life to the fullest as tomorrow is not promised.
I am thankful for the little successes I recorded in a year when the world’s economy is hit by recession and inflation. I am thankful for my family. I am thankful for the Chairman of our organization, my CEO and everyone who makes the brand a reference point.
As a serious member of the outside geng, trust me when I tell you that this December is going to be extra detty! LOL!
I have a lot of activities planned out and equally the invites to some of the best parties of the season have started rolling in. We are going to dirty the town this season.
And to coming year, I hope to keep growing and attain greater heights in my career and personal life.
Looking forward to having the best of 2023.
