Hey there, your favourite chop life crew member is back again!
For those who do not know me or already know this about me, I love life and I live it to the fullest because you only live once, but if you do it right once is enough. And what is good living without good food, you do the math.
As an insurance woman at HIL, at my job, I help identify the needs of my clients and guide them to the right products to protect themselves, their investments, and their families. When I’m not working, I am a huge fan of trying new cuisines and new food spots. And in the same way, I help my clients on the job, I am also happy to share my experiences with you, to show you what’s out there and help you decide what suits you best : )
I also enjoy spending time at the beach, partying and hanging out with fun-loving people (friends) because I just love the Outside! ‘wink’ lol! ‘Jessica is a serious Outsider’ as some of my friends will say. I believe in working hard and playing hard, remember what ‘all work and no play’ did to Jack!

Anyway, I went on a date the other day, yes ‘date’ you read right, to this restaurant called KALY, I searched for good places to eat in VI when this dinner outing was proposed to me, I have eaten at the very best restaurants here on the island and needed someplace new. This place popped up, I don’t normally go researching for restaurants or need reviews for such, but I was compelled to try it out and I suggested it to my date.
Let’s start with the ambience, it was a 95% rating for me, how did she arrive at this percentage one may ask, I love pictures, I love taking pictures, I love capturing moments and freezing time, so the setting of this restaurant did it all for me, it was the perfect backdrop for my pictures. Aesthetics are an important factor when it comes to forming an initial impression, and then everything else is what helps people decide whether they want to come to your restaurant again or not.
What is a good picture without a good backdrop, if you didn’t know, now you know, Lol!
This place gave me the two things I love the most, good food and a great ambience for my pictures.
So, my friend and I visited Kaly Restaurant and were amazed at not only the quality of food, and the ambience but also the service. We had the Seafood Pasta, Ribeye, T-Bone Steak with a side of French fries, mashed potatoes, and Mascarpone Cheesecake (which is Yummmmmmmmy!!) for dessert, maybe the best dessert I’ve ever had! or not, it seems like though.
Jessica, you shaaa like food oh, see me cracking my brain to remember if this is the best dessert I’ve had, shaking my head at myself right now. Lol! Anyway, we Meuuuuvvve!! But this is easily one of, if not the best restaurants right now in Lagos State. I cannot recommend this place enough! Such a warm and welcoming environment but not a quiet place though, just in case you are looking for a quiet or coded place to dine, I must tell you that everyone wants to be there, so it was quite noisy on this day, there was no empty table.

- Location: 7TH FLOOR, 1235B AKIN ADESOLA, NUMBER ONE V.I
- Experience: Delicious food served in high-quality serving dishes, a selection of fine wines and great service.
- Parking: Good parking space with standby Valet (with no extra cost)
- Menu: Enough options to choose from. The dining experience overall is a very pleasant one, I highly recommend this restaurant.
- Extra advantage: Everything about this restaurant was good, an amazing outdoor space with a great view of, if not the whole of Victoria Island and EkoAtlantic city, the place was clean and smelt nice. Our waiter was awesome, the staff also worked as a team in bringing out our orders and serving us.
- Why?: The food was fresh and tasty. All in all, it was an experience worth having. Parking space was no issue here which is usually the problem I have with most Lagos spots.
- Damage? lol! The very important part of this review, anyway, it wasn’t that bad when compared to the experience, abeg chop this money jor, after all, you worked for it. Well, everything from the two glasses of mocktail I had, wine, and the yummy dessert to the meals was a little above N100k for two people.
- What meal(s)/drink(s) would you recommend?More like what dessert will I recommend, go for MASCARPONE CHEESECAKE (Price is 8K) lol! but don’t let this discourage you. Chop your coins, life is for the living, remember.
- Rate the service: I will rate the service 90%, with all this said, why not 100% right? Let them hold 90% for now till I visit again if they repeat the amazing experience then… Consistency pays!
- Verdict? Would you recommend this place?: Absolutely! why not? I am going back.
12: Any additional information about this place you’d like to share? Be sure to make a reservation to avoid stories that touch the heart, like I said earlier everyone wants to be there, especially on weekends, usually no empty tables also you know Lagosians, we like new spots. To avoid hearing “we are fully booked” when you are already there.
Remember that the purpose of life is to live it, to TASTE experience to the utmost, to reach out eagerly and without fear for a newer and richer experience.
