What inspires you?
My journey inspires me, it keeps me going, I look back at my past and I know that I must keep going and striving for excellence not just for myself, but for that other person who will be inspired by my journey to be a better being.
How do you unwind?
Taking loads and loads of Hans and Rene Ice cream and watching movies at the cinema… I recently moved to Abuja which sadly doesn’t have a Hans and Rene spot, so I am making do with watching Skinny Girl in Transit to unwind before I get another “Hans and Rene” in Abuja.
Best book read?
Half of a yellow sun. It was an insightful read, connected me with the sufferings of people who experienced the Biafran war and made me appreciate the level of peace we have now.
Best film watched?
Me before you by Jojo Moyes. If you think of watching this, please keep your box of tissues close by.
Favourite football club or any other sport that strikes your fancy?
Swimming catches my fancy. I’m not the best swimmer but I am making plans to take swimming lessons, so I can activate the fish in me. Lol
Most Embarrassing moment ever experienced?
I went to a boarding school, and on resumption, it was compulsory to submit certain cleaning items such as Izal. On this particular resumption day, my mum took my sister and I to school, and we were asked to present the said items before proceeding to our hostels but we couldn’t find them, as a true African mother, my mum already started raising her voice in front of the entire school letting us know that she’ll give us a series of slaps if we forgot it at home. It’s good to note that the school was very far from home. The entire school, which included my juniors were looking at laughing and waiting for the outcome. We eventually found the items in a corner inside the trunk of her car.
Happiest moment ever experienced?
I’ll say that the happiest moment experiences thus far, was the moment I realised my younger sister graduated as the overall best student in her class and got a scholarship for her masters.
What is family to you?
Family to me doesn’t necessarily mean we have to be related by blood, to me, family are those people with whom my heart feels at home, those people that will always be there for me and those who no matter, what, I know that I’ll always be there for too.
Turn on’s?
Smart individuals are definitely a huge turn ON!
Turn offs
I can’t stand individuals who do not feel the need to use lip balms. Why will you have white and chapped lips when you can just use a lip balm.
