Confident and full of life, Chinwe, Front Office Manager & HR Officer at Transcorp Plc, shared a slice of her adventurous life with us. This interview was conducted by Goje Okamgba.
What inspires you?
My inspiration is derived from my faith, family, self and environment.
How do you unwind?
I unwind by free-writing, watching movies/tv-series, sketching and reading.
Best book read?
Standing on top of that list is The Joys of Motherhood by Buchi Emecheta which explores the challenges of motherhood, femininity and tradition. A very good read. However, currently reading Paulo Coelho’s The Alchemist which might take the top spot.
Best film watched?
It is a very corny movie, but an all-time favourite and it is called ‘Mannequin on the Move’.
Favourite football club or any other sport that strikes your fancy?
I was a loyal Manchester United fan because all the girls on my football team were crushing on CR7, but on a regular basis, I watch a variety of sports, especially tennis and basketball.
Most Embarrassing moment ever experienced –
None that I can think of. I am ‘embarrassment-free’.
Happiest moment ever experienced –
There is not just one sole memorable moment, but the last two years have had several happy moments that I hold dear.
What is family to you?
Family is everything. We have always lived apart for many years and I pretty much lived out of a suitcase for close to 11 years. We have become accustomed to having fractions here and there, and regardless of that, we are a very communicative, conscious and present family.
Turn on’s?
Honest and open-minded people, positive vibes, “purpose-driven plans and people” and selfless individuals.
Turn off’s?
People who are insensitive, conniving, inconsistent, proud, and unapologetic.
