Welcome back everyone!
I hope you all enjoyed the festive season!
Over the holidays I decided to try something new. Typically, I hate baking, but I love banana bread hook line and sinker and with the cook on holiday I was left with no other choice but to press my hand.
What you will need:
- 2 cups of All-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon f baking soda
- ¼ teaspoon of salt
- ½ cup of butter
- ¾ brown sugar
- 2 eggs
- 4 – 5 overripe bananas
The Process:
Step 1: Mix the flour, baking soda and salt altogether first and then the butter and sugar in a separate bowl
Step 2: Mix the eggs and the mashed bananas together
Step 3: Combine the wet and dry mixes in a bowl (I added some dark chocolate chips which David gave me before he left … thanks David *tear drops*)
Step 4: Pour into a well-greased pan and pop in a pre-heated oven (175C)
Now… I must confess my oven doesn’t regulate properly so instead of slow baking for an hour this was almost burning after 20 minutes… lol
But I was still able to enjoy this with some ice cream … and in a shorter amount of time so #WIN!
