EAT. SEE. DO.

What the good people at HH are up to…
Every month on Eat, See, Do, we’ll share what your friends at HH are doing to expand their minds, explore the world or simply unwind. With the holiday season approaching, Clari Green (HH) and ‘Kunle Oriola (TNC) want to give you some ideas on how to spend your time off.
Clari Green, Head, Brand Management & Marketing, HH
Tells us: Where to vacation
Likes: Paella, siesta
Dislikes: Sharing bikini footage
There are some usual suspects when it comes to the Nigerian vacation: London, Dubai, La Casa del Papa. But if you’d like to stray from the beaten path, Clari vouches for the old, coastal Spanish town of Tarifa, Europe’s gateway to Africa. Seriously: you can see Morocco from there, and visit exotic, mysterious Tangier in less than 35 minutes by ferry.
There’s a lot to be said for Tarifa. It’s quiet, with beautiful empty beaches, rolling hills, quaint cafes and, for the athletic, water sports like kitesurfing and windsurfing. But it’s a laidback town for people who want to relax, Clari says, recalling afternoon siesta (during which she watched Telemundo while waiting for businesses to reopen). Plus: bullfights, festivals, and even dancing horses!
Clari’s recommendation: block out a week to take in all the sights, and you won’t regret it.

‘Kunle Oriola, CFO, Transcorp
Tells us: Where to TGIF
Likes: Loose neckties
Dislikes: Not much, as far as I can tell
For nearly 12 years, ‘Kunle has been spending Friday nights at 100 Hours, an old-time bar-restaurant at 100 Awolowo Road. A real down-to-earth spot, don’t go here expecting great service, but the food is good and hot, and Kunle spends hours after work watching football with a crowd of working men who love Arsenal as much as he does.
Also, completely by accident, yours truly discovered that 100 Hours is open late-late every Friday and there’s even a midnight amala special! Some might call that the perfect tonic for when you find yourself stumbling out of Club 57 across the street. So go ahead and indulge – nobody will be sober enough to judge you.
