The kind of work I do requires a lot of mental energy. Working in MCC is quite tasking and always seasoned with creative demands -if you get what I mean. Often, my workload is time-bound and sometimes, my “creative juice” isn’t in adequate supply, but supply must meet the demand.
In the occurrence of these seemingly overwhelming situations, I found an effective solution that I call “Air pod Magic”. When the going gets tough and the tough must get going, I bring out my air pods, connect them to my phone and select just the perfect playlist and zoom into an aura of endless creative feel.
Just like magic, everything comes into play; I’m able to complete all tasks within the specified timeframe. Ariana Grande wasn’t lying when she sang “middle finger to my thumb and then I snap it”. Just like magic, music becomes my gateway to creativity. My air pods allow me to silence the mental noise every time I need to.
My colleagues do not really observe my switch because while in the mood, I am still very conscious and observant of my environment and respond to the slightest beckon, quite impressive.
Without my air pod magic, I can feel a little helpless or restless but thankfully, I work at Transcorp Hotels Calabar, there’s always an escape.
