Philanthropy

Once a career banker, Tony O. Elumelu, CON has gained global recognition as one of Africa’s most prominent and impactful philanthropists.

He is as passionate about creating wealth, as he is about actions which stimulate lasting and impactful change. Therefore, with the launch of his eponymous foundation, Tony sought to fashion a new philanthropic framework, one that would combine traditional charity and business acumen to derive self-sufficiency for entire communities. Wholly self-funded, the Tony Elumelu Foundation aims to institutionalise luck in Africa using philanthropy to spur the sustainable economic growth that Africa so greatly requires.

The Tony Elumelu Foundation is a catalytic philanthropic organisation dedicated to empowering a generation of successful for-profit entrepreneurs who drive Africa’s economic and social transformation.
